This year Delhi is hosting common wealth nation's games

. These games will include all games categories including; aquatics, archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, cycling, hockey, gymnastics, lawn balls, net ball, rugby sevens, shooting, table tennis, wrestling, weightlifting, and tennis. These games are holding for the first time not only in Delhi but also in India. As these games are holding in the month of October a large number of travelers are taking cheap flights to India to attend these games. These games are holding for last nineteen years, and are holding for the ninth time under this name. The teams of players from all the Common Wealth Nations' members will participate in this event including teams from England, Scotland, Wales, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

The process of bidding was carried out to select the host country and India won this bid by margin of 46 votes to 22. It is said that hosting these games will have very positive effects on Indian economy as well as international ties of the country. Visitors from many worldwide destinations are getting into India taking cheap flights to delhi that will boost tourism in the country. It will also provide many business opportunities for the tourism industry as well as the hotel suppliers and the business and trade persons of India especially New Delhi. The organizer of this game is ruling Congress Party MP Suresh Kalmadi. India has worked hard to make this event's arrangements in accordance with international standards. It is evident that 6,500 players will take flights to India to participate in these games. It will be the largest multi-sports event ever held in India.

These games are starting from 3rd of October, and the opening ceremony will take place at Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, India.
