Take The Right Kit With You On Your Camping Break

, why not consider camping? It can be a great way to see some of the UKs fantastic countryside and will give you an alternative to traditional holidays, which can sometimes be fairly expensive. However, before you head off for your camping break you should make sure you have all of the correct essentials in your kit to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.

Depending on how many people you will be camping with, you may need a few tents in order to give everyone enough space. You can now get family tents that have separate bedrooms and they can usually sleep up to eight people, or you could get a few four man tents if your party is bigger than this. When you are deciding on your tent it can be a good idea to get one that is larger than what you actually need so that you can be comfortable. For example, though you and your partner will fit in a two man tent, a four man one would provide more space for storing your gear and such.

When it comes to your sleeping equipment you will want to make sure you're completely comfortable so that you can get a good nights sleep. Opting for a camp bed or an inflatable mattress and pillow might give you more comfort, but you could simply have a sleeping bag, a camping mat and a pillow if you think this will do.

If you plan on doing some of your own cooking while you are out camping you should check with the campsite to see whether it has any restrictions in place. Nowadays, many campsites do not allow open fires and some dont allow disposable barbeques. A lot still let you use small gas stoves though, so you can cook up some tasty food with ease. Remember to take all of the required pots, pans, utensils and other cooking equipment with you, as well as a foldaway dining set.

No matter what time of year you will be camping at you should always take insect repellent with you, and in the summertime you will also need some sun cream. A small first aid kit is also a must and you might want to check whether the campsite has a shower block if it doesnt you should get some dry shampoo and dry shower gel so you can still feel nice and clean.
