Take the Leap and Get Him to Take it Too

Do you feel like you're finally ready to take the leap into "couple" status? Would you like to get things finalized and enter into a monogamous relationship? Do you want to be his girlfriend, but are unsure what steps to take to get there? There are a few ways that you can go about getting ready to take the leap and start a meaningful relationship.

The first thing that you can do is to be someone that he wants to be with. This absolutely does not mean faking anything in order to be who you think he wants you to be. What it does mean is that you should reveal to him the things that make you special. Share your interests and passions.

Go ahead and be yourself around him. You have plenty to be proud of, and he will admire you for these things if you allow yourself to show your best qualities. So let your character and your personality shine around him. Don't hide the real you.

Another way to fall in love is to take your time. Despite your strong feelings, you should not rush into anything. Studies have shown that the brain patterns of people who are experiencing a new love are similar to those of people on strong drugs! So, don't let infatuation cloud your judgment.

As hard as it might seem to do this, taking things slowly can actually help your relationship in the long run. For one thing, your guy won't feel pressured, which will help him to take the leap with you. For another, you can get some perspective of your own so that you don't end up making a bad decision.

Finally, when the time comes to have the big talk, be completely honest with him. It is often best to let your guy take the lead and decide to talk to you (or at least hint to you) about commitment before you bring it up. Once that happens, though, lay your cards on the table.

Try to be fearless, and let him know exactly what you want from the relationship. Tell him how you feel about him, and discuss any fears that you have. If he is comfortable to open up to you to, then you are both ready to take the leap together.
