Mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives today. This increasing demand for mobile phones have triggered the leading service providers to have an agreement signed with the top manufacturers of mobile phones, like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, HTC, etc. to provide their phones under the deals of the service providers.

These deals can be classified as contract and Pay As You Go Phones deal. However, both these deals provide locked phones, which can be operated with only one network, that is the one who is providing the deal. The difference comes in the payment mode as in contract deals, you have to pay a fixed amount, every month, to the provider. In Pay as you go deal, you have to pay according to the services used only.

In both these deals, you can have trouble when you are looking for a change in network, in case you are not satisfied with the services of the present one. In these locked phones, changing a network would mean that you take up a new deal with a new phone. This limitation is not there in SIM free deals.

SIM Free Phones are not locked by any networks and hence, can be also called unlocked phones. Switching of networks is not a problem in this deal as no boundaries are drawn for the usage of the phone. You can use the SIM of any network on any SIM free mobile phone. The SIM can be bought separately with the SIM only deals of networks, which can be again used as contract or Pay as you go according to the payment mode you choose.
