Taking A Look At Your Transport Options When You're In Holiday In Malaga?

When you're holidaying in Malaga, for the most part it's highly likely that you do a lot of walking whenever you want to get somewhere.

Whether it's from the hotel to the beach or the shopping centre to a cafe, the glorious weather and laid back attitude can often make walking the best option when in Malaga.

Whilst this may be the case in general, before you head off on your holiday, its worthwhile ensuring that you are aware of what transport options you have available, just in case you need to get further afield than the resort or things aren't as close as you had hoped.

1. Car hire Malaga - there's often somewhat of a stigma around driving in a foreign country, but in all truth, this is more perception than anything else and as long as you spend some time getting to grips with the rules of the road and be extra aware of your surroundings, there's no reason why you can't drive around just as safe as you could in the UK.

And because of this, it's advised that you at least take a look at car hire Malaga, as it can open up a whole different area outside of your resort that you otherwise wouldn't have discovered.

2. Buses - in the UK, public transport isn't held in as high of a regard as it is in a lot other European countries and generally speaking, as buses are heavily relied upon in many parts of the continent, you should be able to take advantage of travel that's not only cheap, but on time, too.

3. Taxis - arguably the most expensive transport choice if you're looking to make regular journeys around or out of the resort (which is where car hire Malaga really shines through as the best choice), taxis are fantastic if you're only wanting to make a handful of short journeys throughout your holiday or if you are planning on going out and drinking alcohol.

4. Privately arranged transport - when you first go to a hotel or bar in Malaga - or in fact in most other European holiday resorts - you'll find that the people are polite and welcoming and will make enough small talk to be friendly without bothering you on your holiday.

If you spend time developing a friendship with the staff and more specifically the owner of a hotel or bar, you shouldn't be surprised if they offer to pick you up from your hotel and take you to their bar on an evening (or vice versa) or if you become particularly good friends with them, pick you up from the airport.

Something that happens frequently in holiday resorts, the only thing you have to keep in mind is that no matter whether you think they do it so that you continue to eat at their restaurant or stay at their hotel, therefore making them money, it's always good practice to tip them after each journey - they won't ask for it and they might not even accept it, but it's always polite to try.
