During World War I a soldier named Louis Houghton brought hybrid bulbs of lilly to Oregon and handed them off to friends and neighbors. Once the importation of the Easter lilly from Japan was halted during World War II, many United States citizens began to sell their hobby plants to the public given the sudden rise in prices. This started the increase of availability within the Easter lilly in the United States and its popular usage began.

The Easter lilly isn't just popular for the celebration of Easter. In fact, it's a terrific flower for weddings, anniversaries, to say get well soon and to say I love you. This flower is an amazing being that has made it through the test of time and multiple wars.
