Taking Good Care Of Your Clothes
A renowned author said that clothes cover not what is unbeautiful
. Powerful words, and these days people put more and more emphasis on clothes, but they are sometimes neglected to be cared for. This would result to people buying more and more clothes, despite knowing how to properly care for them. One who knows how to value his clothing enough to pay respect for the monetary value attached to it is someone who is well versed with caring not only per se but even essentially for more relevant issues. To drive that guilt away, here are a few guidelines on how to look after your clothes.
Generally, storage plays a huge role to protect your clothes and keeping them from wearing out early on. There are a lot of ways to care for your clothes, with some even proving to be a bit surprising or refreshing. A newly purchased clothing item should be dabbed with some transparent polish, this serves as a sealant for the threads so it wouldn't give way so easily. You can remove this fuzz from your clothing with some tape; apply the adhesive side on the portion of your clothing with dirt and fuzz and you'll easily get rid of them.
You can also do this to remove fuzz on most portions of the clothing but with a larger remover. Instead of your finger, an enfolded magazine can be rolled up and down on the garment. For your zipper teeth, it might sound ridiculous but you can actually put some candle wax on it, and that wax would help your zipper to function properly. Removing fuzz or lint on your clothing is a really great help. It will work a lot to help you maintain that new look. This should be used every after use to prevent build up of lint on your garment. If you look closely, there is more that clothes harbor every time we ready them for laundry; there is dust, dirt and hair. These should be removed carefully even before laundry.
Steam has also been used by laundry shops and experts to un-wrinkle the clothes. They can give clothes a fresh up. Once done with washing, drying, and pressing, you should make sure to properly put it in your closet. Putting them closely near to each other won't allow them to breathe. So, if you have clothes that you won't wear for a particular season, store them away on a different closet or in a separate suitcase. To preserve the color, white garments must be thoroughly rinsed. Stains can be removed after detergent washing with a bleaching product and warm water which are highly recommended.
Be extra careful with dark clothes however, because these tend to fade much faster. To prevent the faster and unnecessary fading of your clothing items whether dark or not, use mild detergents with some warm water. And for your leather clothing, you need to store these properly since they tend to accumulate moisture. Make sure that there's enough circulation of air where you store your leather clothes, and only use trusted brands for cleaning them. Follow care instructions at all times.
Starting to care for them is just the first step but consistency is the key to maintain their brand new look. These are relatively inexpensive ways of properly taking care of your clothes, so just put out a little effort and get back some really good rewards in return.
