Taking My Ex Back - Should I Or Should I Not?
Because relationships are so complicated you may not be out of the running just because your girlfriend dumped you or your wife leaves you
. Women often get confused or just plain mad as hell and dump the guy, when in fact the relationship still has or had a lot of potential.The reasons why a woman would dump a guy are as varied as the number of women that breath, the thing is. you still stand a chance of getting her back.
Depending on how you handle things she may get a hold of you after a cooling off phase and see if there is something salvageable yet. Once a woman has made up her mind that she loves a man it takes an awful lot of persuasion to change her mind. Even if she has convinced herself that your not the one she may rethink things.
During this time period don't bug her, in fact let her have the impression that you want her happiness and let her go, it's not over yet.
What if she dumps you and then comes back and just expects you to take her back as if nothing had ever happened between you? How do you handle that decision? First things first, do you love her? If so take her back and let her know she made the right decision to come home, let her know how much you love her and treat her in such a way as to make her glad she came back.
In a patient and loving way find out exactly why she left and help her to see that you understand how she could feel that way. You may say "I see how you could feel that way I might have felt the same way myself".
Go one step further and say "I'm sorry you felt that you had no recourse but to leave, let's make a decision to lay all our cards on the table before we split up ever again. That way if there is a problem like this that we can solve there won't be any need for a separation. Let's just make a decision that this will be the last time we separate, no matter what we work through our problems together can you go agree with me on that"
If she agrees that no matter what she will work it out then you will have a very strong commitment on which to start over.
Some say "well what if she left me for another guy should I still give her another chance?" Or "what if she is only coming back because she couldn't find anyone else or she can't support herself?" My answer to the above is yes take her back. To me it doesn't matter why she came back if you love her. If you love a woman and don't take her back when she tries to come home I believe your doing yourself a disservice you can go around a long time and never find another relationship with a foundation as strong to build upon.
So If you love her, don't take any bodies counsel except your own, and take your woman, your comfort back into your home. If you don't love her and don't want her, then say sorry I'm not interested.
In the final analysis you have to make the decision on whether you want to try again. I can tell you that my wife and I split four times and the final time we made the decision to never split again and that was 20 years ago. It was the best decision either of us ever made.
