The most adventurous breeding ground for the animals such as cormorants
, herons, egrets open billed stroke, spoonbill and white ibis, little grebe, Indian Moorhen, Black Winged Stilts and the migratory ducks and occasionally Grey Pelicians is the Vedanthangal Water Birds Sanctuary. The time considered to visit the park is between November to February. For the conservation of the reptiles like crocodiles and aligators there is the Crocodile Bank in Tamil Nadu.
