Tampa Bay Rays, The "devil Rays"

The fans and media often called the team "Devil Rays"

, because they are great. As the Rays' fans, I need the team jerseys to cheer for them, before purchasing them, I should know more thing about the jerseys history.

The Rays are a member of the Eastern Division of MLB's American League and establised in 1998. Their first year in the league they would lose 99 games and one of their only highlights was when Wade Boggs hit his 3000th hit of his career and had it be a home run. They traded off some key players to the team struggled and ended up with a league worst record in 2006. Their first season with a winning record was 2008. Most of fans could agree with my opinion that there are a few new players in Jason Bartlett, Matt Garza, and Troy Percival who has finished their spring training camp with a total of 18 wins which was a club record, they also led the big market of tickets and team jerseys.

When they won their first division title and proceeded to win the pennant, team's symbol was changed to to navy blue, Columbia blue from formerly black, green, and blue. The manta ray symbol, however, is still used on the sleeve of their jerseys, and there is still a tank of cownose rays in the outfield. The Rays home uniform is white with the word Rays written across the chest. The Rays road uniform is gray with the word Rays written across the chest. The Rays first alternate is dark blue with Columbia blue piping and the word Rays written across the chest. The Rays second alternate is light blue with the word Rays written across the chest. The Rays wear their dark blue alternate on home and road games. The Rays wear their light blue alternate on Sunday home games.

Actually, there are much ups and downs because of the strong rivals. The most famous year in team history will ever be 1985. The team began by winning the West Division title. They faced their in-state rivals, the St. Louis Cardinals. The Rays fell behind in the series 3-1, but managed to pull out a game in game 6 in the bottom of the 9th. They become more and more famous after these events. Their fans are very crazy by their perfect performance and uniforms design. So their jerseys has a big market around world just second to the NY Yankees.
