Tata Aria to sail overseas soon

Tata Aria, one of the finest and the most sophisticated products from the home grown car maker Tata Car set its first foot on the Indian turf recently

. Soon after the launch, the auto maker is planning to export the Tata cars in the near future. Although the exact time frame of the same has not been officially revealed by the company, it is speculated that the car might be exported in the coming six months. The move seems to be more than obvious as Tata Motors saw a 77% growth in its export figures in the month of September'2010, when compared to the same last year. S G Saksena, Tata Motors Passenger Car Business Unit Utility Vehicles Product Group Head recently commented that on an average it takes about six months for any automaker to consider exporting a vehicle after it has been introduced in the domestic market. He further added that the company has plans to export the vehicle in the overseas market in the near future. He clarified the company's stand that although the possibilities of exporting Tata Aria are under consideration, there are a host of other features that needs to be taken into consideration before the car stands ready for exports. Tata Aria received a very warm welcome by the buyers in India and is giveing a tough competition to its contemporaries in the segment that includes Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Innova, Honda CRV, Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner and upcoming Skoda Yeti. The car comes powered with a 2.2L, DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) engine, that is capable to deliver a maximum power of 140bhp power at 4000rpm with a thumping 320Nm torque at 1700-2700rpm. In terms of features, the car comes packed with some of the best in class safety, comfort and additional features. The car is blessed with a three row seating arrangement that offers a comfortable seating for 7 passengers. Some of the features offered by the car include gear shift knob and leather seats, cup holders on floor console, cigarette lighter and ash-tray in front console, rear wash and wiper, electrical glass demister,headrest mounted LCD screen, leather covered steering wheel, power and tilt steering, power windows at all four doors, automatic climate control AC, keyless entry, advanced CD/MP3 audio system, digital outside temperature indicator, etc.
