Children are always curious about everything that they set their eyes upon

. They always have questions about anything under the sun. They like to experiment and to learn things on their own. And because they are still learning, they are still unaware of the dangers of their actions. They explore without thinking. They just want to feed their curious brains with answers by doing things themselves. This makes them very vulnerable to danger and different kinds of hazards. It is up to the adults to explain to kids fire safety reminders in a very simple manner.

Kids play with anything and everything. You should be updated with kids fire safety and children proof your kitchen, wires and gadgets. The most common hazardous materials that they tinker with are sharp objects, mirrors, matches, lighters, electrical wires and plugs. We cannot stop them from wanting to play with such things but we can avoid the dangers that might fall upon them. We can childproof our sockets, hide electrical wires, keep the matches in the top most cabinets, keep the knives out of children's reach and even building a fence or a barrier around potentially dangerous areas.

There are steps that we can take to prevent such things. But what if mirrors do get broken, wires do get exposed and matches do start fires? Prevention is good but you should not stop there. Aside from avoiding such accidents to happen, it is always better to equip yourself with tools and materials that will help you deal with accidents as they happen and after they have happened. One important thing to always have at home is afire extinguisher. A lot of kids play with matches and a lot of tragic stories have been told regarding kids and matches.

A fire extinguisher can be very handy. You will never know when something will blow up. Water can also help extinguish fire but there are times that water can actually make things worse. Take for example if there are electrical problems or if the fire started with electrical wires. Water can further cause harm to someone by acting as insulators and transmitters. So instead of saving lives, water can actually electrocute somebody. Large volumes of water are also not readily available to everyone. Transporting enough water would also be one big problem.

A fire extinguisher can be a very helpful tool to use when trying to put out fire. It is a very accessible firefighter that is also very effective. It is not harmful to anyone when used properly. It can also come in different sizes, depending on your need and preference. Kids will always be kids. They do not know that what they are doing can already start a fire. They have not yet completely grasped the safety precautions in avoiding accidents such a fire. But at the same time, you cannot stop them from being kids and enjoying things that children enjoy. As adults, you have to be the ones to implement and explain to kids fire safety rules and regulations.
