Team refers to a group of people who share a common purpose wherein every individual in the group contributes towards a common goal

. In the same way, team-working is the process through which a team functions. There are many definitions and methods to these processes. At a workplace, the roles are more or less defined; still team-working is required to have the entire team on the same page.

If we need to define a team in a humorous way, the word team' can be described as together everyone achieves more' where each alphabet in the word team' gets assigned some significance. Team-working works best when the goals and roles are defined easily and members are able to understand them. Every company has many departments which work in tandem and all the departments are dependent on each other. This actuality forms the basic need of team-working in every field of working.

Advantages of Team-working: - Technology and its accessibility has made sure that everything changes at a fast pace. Changes have created opportunities and in the same vein, swift changing environments generate threats as well. The concept of team-working helps to respond and make use of these opportunities.

A sense of family prevails due to the team-working concept as well. Team-working adds to employee motivation leading to employee satisfaction' which forms a key factor towards growth. Recent trends have given rise to multi-tasking' which helps in making a team flexible. Team-working helps in employee flexibility to reduce costs and to respond to threats produced by the changes affecting every sector.

It can be easily concluded that team-working helps in better co-ordination wherein every employee gets a role to play.
