Teamwinmark Posts Resources For A Wholesome Work Environment

Creating teamwork is a challenging process. Merely referring to a collection of employees as a team doesn't make them one. The first question to ask is, is this a team or a group? Each has a purpose. Typically, a team shares leadership and is interdependent, meaning they depend on each other for information, services or products to achieve a team goal. A leader (manager, supervisor) spearheads a group; members work on their own most of the time with little or no dependence on other members to do their job. There may be a group effort but it is not a team. You can't have the same expectations of a group as you do a team. Determine what you are working with, team or group, and proceed from there. What's good for the goose is good for the gander; creating a happier work environment is the key for increasing production from your employees and ultimately your bottom line. Take a look at these 10 steps you can take to create a happier workplace for your business. Teamwinmark

1. Give praise. If bosses celebrate success and achievement of their employees then they are more ready and willing to seek the acknowledgment by performing better and accomplishing more.

2. Update the work environment. This seems a little obvious and it is, but creaky chairs, broken desk drawers and slow computers give the employee a reason to be negative. By removing negatives from your work environment you give your employees more reason maintain a positive attitude. Yes, it may cost you a little more than you would like but in the long run your employees will thank you by working harder and earning your business more money.

3. Challenge your employees. Studies show that the more involved in the company's goals and bottom line targets the employee is, the more likely they are to work harder to achieve those goals. By understanding they are a vital part of the company's success, employees feel more committed to achieving the business' aims.

4. Inspire your employees. Show them you are excited about your work and that they should be too. Show them the good they are doing for the company and that every single one of them matters.

5. Offer your employees opportunities for improvement. Offer them classes, training sessions, or seminars on how they can improve their work. Offer salary reviews as incentive to improve their work. Teamwinmark

6. Give them someone to respect. Be the leader that inspires, recognizes, and helps others. Be flexible and recognize their life might be as complicated as yours. Achieve your own goals and set examples.

7. Show that you respect them. This goes back to the old principle of treat people how you would like to be treated. By respecting your employees, they have someone to believe in, perform for, and feel responsible to. Bosses and managers who take the time

8. Be personable. Bosses and managers who take the time to get to know their employees are appreciated. A recent study found that leaders who are personable within their business are more respected and liked. Keep a birthday calendar for your employees and celebrate birthdays with a card, free lunch from the cafeteria, or small sign in the break room.

9. Encourage suggestions from your employees. Communication is key here. If you provide an open line of communication your staff will feel comfortable in approaching situations that might be affecting their performance and will feel like they have a say in their workplace.

10. Remove stressors. This can range from employees with consistently negative attitudes to deadline and goal announcements out of the line of sight. Don't remove deadline and goals completely, but place them in an email, or back room to avoid creating unnecessary stress. Positive environments are happy environments. Teamwinmark
