Many tasks are dependent on the internet solely. It becomes simply impossible to perform work in offices or at home if the internet connection is not working. We all are working and living in the era of internet. The internet is available in two modes i.e. wired and wireless. The wired connection was used earlier when the technology for wireless connection were not so developed. It restricted the user to work from a fixed location. The development of technology enabled wireless connection for the usage of internet. It gave the internet users to work from different locations. Wires were removed and a simple transmitter and receiver module was used. This helped in so many ways. With a wireless connection, a person was able to work from his or her bedroom also.

According to the speed, internet connection is classified as DSL connection and broadband connection. The DSL connection gave its user limited speed and limited data rates. It was used for many years until the technology enabled us to use the broadband connection. Broadband internet connection allows us to use the internet as higher speeds and at higher data rates. Through a broadband internet connection, we can use the internet while downloading or uploading files. The broadband internet service is available at slightly higher rates than the DSL internet connection. There are several companies in the market which provide the broadband internet service to the people. These companies get strong competition from their rivals.
