The so called China wholesale has been instrumental in dominating the technology markets. Previously Japan was the kind of modern technology. China has quickly learnt those lessons and it is only a matter of time before they will be leading the world in terms of selling modern gadgets. This transformation is not an accident but the result of careful planning right from the start. The Chinese miracle is no more than the tangible results of years of hard work in which the nation tried to build a formidable reputation that will ensure its dominance in technology markets. Meanwhile Western countries became complacent.

Everything from China is cheap

A large and product workface in China has meant that they are capable of driving wages down to a pittance. There are moral concerns from the Western societies about the exploitation of poor people. The price for this "moral high ground" is that Europe will soon become of limited importance in manufacturing. Instead it will remain an economic bloc that is primarily supported by consumer spending. We all know what happens when economies cease to manufacture things.

The Chinese influence is felt very strongly in the area of consumer electronics. Some people have sarcastically remarked that a closure of Chinese factories would leave Europe empty. The fact that they are outrageously cheap means that the Western traders have no choice but to buy these products. Some people have argued that the developed nations should compromise on their production standards in order to reduce prices. This has been done in the car industry and the results have been disastrous. British cars became a laughing stock when they attempted to compromise on quality.
