For many years now, people have often complained that their smiles are not as bright as they used to be and that the discoloration and stains are quite unsightly. Well, if you're one of them who want whiter teeth but don't want to spend loads on the products in the market, then how about trying a few home remedies?

Natural ingredients tend to be one of the best home remedies by far and when it comes to whitening those teeth of yours, try using baking soda. Results won't be immediate, but within a few weeks you should be able to see the difference. If the taste of baking soda gets too much to handle, then keep a dish of it in your bathroom and make a paste out of it using your toothpaste when you brush.

Besides that, there is also hydrogen peroxide which can work wonders! Swish is around your mouth for a minute or two before bed and rinse out with water after. Sometimes it might hurt your gums so another alternative for this would be to swab your teeth with hydrogen peroxide using a cotton ball.

Back to your kitchen, strawberries works wonders too! Not only do you get to enjoy the taste, but if you take a few pieces and mash them up, you can brush your teeth with it only to see a difference. But do make sure to properly brush your teeth again after that as the sugar and acid can ruin the enamel of your tooth.

Also, keeping your teeth white comes down to the little things. Every time you have your morning coffee or evening tea, try to make it a point to brush within the next half hour or so because the color of these beverages can stain your teeth as well. This applies for smokers too; always brush after smoking so that the tobacco doesn't get a chance to stain your teeth.
