Today I had an interestingexperience with a sales rep of a group I was going to be an affiliate. This was actually a sales call and I could identify it quickly because I have had this same call with other companies. I really try to say up front that I am already in a mentoring program but some people just don't want to listen to you. After a few question from the sales rep I told him I wasn't interested. He didn't stop but went right away with telling me how his program could make more money for me. I tried again and he interupted me again. I finally jumped in and told him just what he was going to tell me! As he hung up the phone he told me Thanks, N for wasting my time. He probably thought I had already hung up the phone.
I could hardly believe he said that since I tried to tell him upfront my situation. So I "did not pass go, did not collect $200" I immediately sent back the cancellation requirements and cancelled the website I was going to promote for them. I am sure this happens way too often but one must remember that there are just too many other nice people to do business with. I strive everyday to provide quality customer service and I just expect the same. It is so easy to be polite. I have had other callers and once I tell them my situation they are usually very cordial and wish me luck. Whew, I needed to get that off my chest.
