Telescopic Shovel to get you out of trouble in the snow!

With the severe Winter weather we had last year I decided to take more precautions when travelling by car. Each year we all act as though it's a big surprise that the cold weather and snow is here again, but it seems to be becoming a regular event. What precautions did I take?

Yes, wellies in the boot, blanket and so on but just as important (if not more so) a shovel became a very useful boot item during those snowy conditions! It became invaluable when trying to get on and off my drive and that's before even leaving the house! So make sure you're prepared! You may find like I did that this is the most important item to have in your car! Don't get caught out this Winter!

Telescopic handled shovels means that size is no longer an issue, and the Compact Double Grip Strong Shovel with Telescopic Handle is designed for easy use & easy storage and so ideal to keep in the car boot & caravan etc. It's strong robust & lightweight, with a practical size of 97cm long when fully extended and only 77cm when collapsed.

Snow can be nice but it can also cause a lot of problems you in your driveway. So there may be times when you need to get out and shovel snow. This blog will guide you how to shovel snow properly. When you buying a shovel, you should invest in one that has a smaller blade, this will help you to avoid the extra strain on your body. You may also want to try a lightweight with a bent handle.

First off you are going to want to get yourself a good snow shovel for doing this. Before you head out to start shovelling the snow make sure you are dressed appropriately. Use a lightweight shovel, preferable one with a bend in the handle and double gripped because it will take some of the stress off your lower back. Shovelling snow is extremely hard physical work so take frequent breaks. Go slowly and pace yourself. Hurrying or extra effort to get finished can lead to injury. Large loads will get the job done faster, but you will become tired quickly. You're probably going to sweat, so drink plenty of water before you go out. Stretch your body muscles by running or walking in place for a few minutes.

If you can, avoid lifting the snow while shoveling. Instead, push the snow to the side. If you must lift the snow, stand with your feet hip distance apart and keep the shovel close to your body. Use your stomach muscles and legs to lift it--not your back. You should tighten your abdominal muscles as you lift the snow to help provide extra back support.

If you shovel snow with your friends, it will go much faster. If you shovel snow with your whole family, it might go a bit slower but you'll have more fun.

These tips will help you while shoveling snow, but remember, it's better to be safe than sorry.
