Ten Atlanta Technical College Faculty and Staff Earn Leading Industry Award
Rarely do educators receive the recognition and praise that they deserve for teaching and mentoring so many students year after year
. Atlanta Technical College is pleased to share that 10 of its faculty and staff members are recipients of the 2010 Excellence Award presented by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). The NISOD honors and recognizes educators across the nation for excelling in the profession.
"This award is truly an honor and testament to the exceptional faculty and staff at the Atlanta Technical College," said Dr. Alvetta Thomas, president of Atlanta Technical College. "These individuals are truly committed to their profession and strive to provide students with a best-in-class education."

To qualify for the 2010 Excellence Award, recipients must excel in service to their college, show excellence in job responsibilities (i.e., teaching, support and administration), as well as, demonstrate a commitment to the school's mission.
