Testimonials Give You Credibility And Expertise

My work with a couple of clients this winter includes tweaking their websites

. One of the areas I am concentrating on is including testimonials. Whether you have been in business for some time or you are rethinking what you want to do as a career, examine the testimonials you are using. But not the kind of testimonials that just say how wonderful you are, how efficient, how absolutely perfect your program. Readers do not believe all that hype anyway.

When I want a testimonial on a website I think about what my prospects want to see. If I am writing about information products they want to hear if others in the industry think of me as a resource and regard me as the information product guru.

I want prospects to think if I read program or book by Ruthan I can save time because I will learn what I need to learn without attending someone another webinar or a training call. I want my prospect to believe that they can save time and money by using my products which is what I want at least one of my testimonials to say.

A lot of people on the Internet want their products immediately or sooner. That is why I recommend having another testimonial included about me providing fast service, a quick turn round. A testimonial touting their satisfaction with my product and how quickly it was delivered should bring more prospects on my website. It works particularly well when one of my customers writes that my program saved her 3 days or 4 months of research, for example. Time is second only to money when it comes to making a decision. Even if the testimonial is in general terms such as I get quick results or It was delivered quickly, that testimonial is going to get attention and that is good for my website.

Anyone can have a banner for a guarantee on their website. It is another matter when one of your clients write that they were comfortable working with you because you had one of the best guarantees in the industry. Since there is no real face to face contact on the Internet, guarantees are very important when it comes to closing the deal on your product. In order to believe your guarantee, your prospects are going to have to trust you. That is why one of the best things to do is to get someone to give you testimonials that talk about your guarantee.

You may want to think of taking a surprising approach also. For example, how good would it be if you could get a testimonial from one of your customers who purchased a program, did not like it, and you refunded her the money. What if she were to write a testimonial about the fact that you returned her money with no questions asked and no hassle. That certainly would lead to trust.

Things do not always go right and there will be some returns. Treat those like they were your best customer. They will reward your efforts.
