The first engine option within the 2010 Audi Q7 is a 3.6 liter, six cylinder engine which produces 280 horsepower. This engine comes with an automatic transmission and all wheel drive. The six cylinder engine can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 8.2 seconds, but has marginal fuel efficiency of 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. The next level engine up on the 2010 Audi Q7 costs an additional $4,000 and is a 3.0 liter six cylinder engine which generates 225 horsepower. The 3.0 liter engine also comes with a 6 speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive. While the 3.0 liter V6 produces less horsepower, it runs off of diesel fuel and gets much better fuel efficiency than the 3.6 liter option. The 3.6 liter V6 diesel engine can go from 0 to 60 mph in 8.5 seconds and gets 17 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway. The third engine option for the 2010 Audi Q7 is a 4.2 liter, V7 quattro, which generates a very powerful 350 horsepower and 325 pound feet of torque. The 4.2 liter engine is by far the quickest of the three engine options as it can go from 0 to 60 in just 7.0 seconds. Fuel efficiency is less than the other two engine options as it gets 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The 2010 engines are different than previous models. The 2009 Audi Q7 came standard with a V6 turbo charged engine, that average 22.5 miles per gallon.
