The 2010 Lexus Gs 350 Gets A 3.5 Liter Engine

Since 2007, when Lexus upped the engine size for their GS model from a 3.0 liter

engine to a 3.5 liter, V6, 24 valve power plant, the GS has risen above earlier criticism that said the engine wasn't powerful enough. The 3.5 liter engine delivers 303 horsepower and 274 foot pounds of torque, making this car just as quick as some of its V8 siblings. The bore is 94 mm; the stroke is 83, and the compression ratio, making incredible power available to the GS 350. The 0 mph to 60 mph acceleration in fact is the same as Lexus states for it GS430 model, but in a smaller luxury sedan. The 3.5 liter engine is entirely fabricated from aluminum and is fitted with direct fuel injection and variable valve timing (VVT) and camshaft on intake and exhaust to get the most efficiency, and power to its six speed automatic transmission. The transmission is rear wheel drive in the standard configuration, but has an optional all wheel drive package.

The reserve power of the 3.5 liter engine exceeds expectations and is sufficient to maneuver the GS 350 in any setting. The 303 maximum horsepower are attained at 6,200 rpm and the 274 foot pounds of maximum torque are achieved at 6,600 rpm. Lexus specifies that the engine should be fueled only with premium unleaded fuel (91) in the GS' 18.8 gallon fuel tank.
