The 2013 Bmw 650i Gran Coupe
Perhaps the most anticipated new BMW for sale in Canada is the 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe which was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show
. BMW recently announced its U.S. pricing for the new BMW 6 series coupe along with available packages.
What is the BMW 650i Gran Coupe? Car and Driver explained it well, "Beautifully splitting the difference between 5 and 6."
Unlike most coupes, this BMW 6 series has four doors. Riding on the BMW 5 series wheelbase and serving as a 4-door version of the BMW 6 series 2-door coupe, the Gran Coupe's wheelbase has been extended 113 mm. This extra space accommodates the rear doors and gives rear passengers more space than the 2-door coupe.
The Gran Coupe is a late entry into a relatively new automotive segment dominated by cars such as the Mercedes-Benz CLS, Audi A7, and Porsche Panamera. This is a beautiful entry. The 650i has an elegant, sloping roofline, stunning accents, and distinctive exterior styling. Its two-tone leather interior screams luxury.
The Gran Coupe uses the Valvetronic system to increase both horsepower and torque. Its V8 engine puts out 445-hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the engine is relatively fuel efficient for the size and weight of this car. The 2013 BMW 6 series Gran Coupe features an 8-speed automatic transmission, standard steering wheel paddle shifters, and an engine start/stop system.
As with other new BMW cars, the BMW Gran Coupe can be upgraded as needed to better suit your needs and personal taste. Among the upgrade packages recently announced, you'll find:

In general, the features and options offered for the 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe are expected to be much like those offered on other BMW 6 series cars. Examples include: optional Roll Stabilisation / Active Steering, Dynamic Damper Control, adaptive LED headlights, special paint options, and 19" wheels.
Pricing for the 2013 BMW 650i Gran Coupe is not currently available for Canada. However, BMW recently announced pricing for cars sold in the United States. In the U.S., the 4.4 litre, twin turbo V8 version of the 650i will start at $87,395. For $3,000 more, you can get the xDrive variant. Canadian prices are expected to approach, if not slightly exceed the $100,000 range. BMW accessories and packages will drive the base price up as well. For example, the M Sport package will add roughly $4200 (USD) to the price tag while the Luxury Seating package will put you back another $3600 or so.
