The 3 Main Strategies that Make the Sale for Affiliate Marketers

I've read recently on one of the internet marketing forums that I belong to a comment

made by someone who had a great deal of knowledge about computers, but couldn't make a dime as an affiliate marketer. Does this sound familiar? If this is your case, don't feel bad; just because you have computer knowledge doesn't mean that you should know how to market online as an affiliate marketer.

Affiliate marketing success doesn't really have much to do with "computer knowledge" at all. If it did, people like me and many others would have never seen success with their internet marketing business.

Success in this business has more to do with the 3 main following reasons:

1) Finding a hot niche

A hot niche is what people WANT, and what people want is what sells. I know sometimes it can be more attractive to you to sell what you like, but remember, you are in this business to sell what people want and like, not necessarily what you like.

If you feel more comfortable selling what you like, try to find out what market might like the same things you like. If you like it, chances are other people might as well. Just try to find out who this market might be, and deliver to them. If you find that market though, your passion for the product might actually sell your product even more easily.

2) Write articles

Write articles to promote your niche in an informative fashion. Try to be educational with your articles and invite your readers to click on your link in a smart way. If you don't like to write articles, you might want to outsource this job for you if you can. Affiliate marketing does involve lots of writing. I can't think of anything else that could replace the power of article marketing to bring you success as an affiliate marketer.

3) Don't sell

Don't try to sell your product, it really doesn't work anymore. Do you best to be seen as a source of information, not as a sales person. The more you inform and the less you try to sell, the more you will actually MAKE sales.

These are the most important basics of success that I have learned for myself over time as an internet marketer.
