The 3 Training Aspects You Need To Focus On For MMA

MMA is one of the most diverse sports on the planet. Its dynamic of styles require you to be a practitioner of many martial arts styles to take out any opponent. Here are the 3 areas that you must master along with the techniques of individual martial arts to be successful in the world`s fastest growing sport.

Conditioning.

Here we are with probably the most important. Do you think you can go in there for 3x5 minute rounds and fight till the end with the same amount of energy? This is one of the hardest things for anyone to practice but should be focused on more than any.

Train conditioning in some aspect everyday. So often when ones conditioning isn't supreme, they end up on the big stage and tire out at the end of the first round and can barely continue. Don't be that fighter.

Strength.

You should train body to body as much as possible with working strength training. Then we move to the weights.

For strength training, be explosive with traditional exercises targeting major muscle groups: squats, bench press, dead lifts.

Speed.

Speed is also of utmost importance. You want to catch you opponent off guard any time that you can and you will need speed to do so.

To work on speed try practicing at a faster pace; hit the bags as fast as you can, and spar at a faster pace under your partner's discretion.

These are the 3 major aspects of MMA training, outside the actual martial art techniques. A complete program is necessary to train these aspects effectively for the sport.

So remember:

Conditioning

Strength

Speed
