The 4 F's To Look For In Men's Underwear
When buying underwear, most guys just browse through the men's section of the department store
, grab what happens to be on sale online, or just wear what their wife, mom or sister happens to buy them. The fact is, you need to be aware of some severe health and social consequences to wearing the wrong men's underwear. If your underwear is cutting off blood flow to your vital crotch organs, not allowing your balls to breathe or perform properly, showing unsightly creases under your shorts and pants, requiring you to make frequent adjustments, collecting stinky sweat and perspiration or simply making you look highly unflattering when you're standing around in nothing but your underwear - then something is wrong.
So here are the 4 F's that you should look for in men's underwear:
Fit: When you engage in any movement patterns during the day, whether you stand up, sit down, walk, run or crawl, it certainly would be nice if your men's underwear actually fit and moved with you. You should never have to reach down to adjust unsightly wrinkles protruding from under your pants, and never have to feel that uncomfortable bunched-up fabric around your hips, thighs and buttocks. A good pair of underwear should not only move with you, but also protect your vital male organs - specifically by providing ample space but comfortable support for your crotch - without cutting off necessary blood and oxygen, which can leave you small, impotent, embarrassed and even in physical pain.
Fold: Most people don't look at the seams or folds in their clothing, but if they did, they'd get some serious clues about the quality of the garments. Begin by looking at the seams. The stitches per inch, the better, and the tighter the stitching, the lower the chances that the fabric is going to rip or easily wear down. If the seams are few and far between, not only is your men's underwear going to prematurely get tossed into the dumpster, but those rough seams are going to leave you with painful chafing, rubbing and burning if you ever exercise in your men's underwear. One type of seam, called the "flatlock" seam, is an emerging technology in men's underwear, and is something to look for on the label of your underwear if you want to ensure a perfect fold and fit.
Fabric: Most men's underwear is comprised primarily of cotton fabric. Cotton does not breathe. Cotton leaves sweat marks. Cotton is not durable. Cotton does not look good as it hangs in saggy bunches about your waistline. Those cotton men's underwear that looked great the day you bought them will look like a loose towel within just a couple weeks. Better fabrics, like elastin and cationic polyester, breathe quickly, wick away sweat quickly and dry quickly. This type of fabric works very well with tight, flatlock seams, is perfect for active guys, and once you've worn it, you will never go back to boring, uncomfortable cotton men's underwear.
Form: Let's face it: at some point you are going to be seen in only your underwear. The attractiveness of the area from your hips to your thighs is incredibly important in the bedroom - specifically, how large you appear, how streamlined your waist flows to your hips, and how sleek and form-fitting your men's underwear actually fits you. If your men's underwear satisfies the criteria of the first F (fit), then they have some type of breathable pouch for your junk. The convenient side effect of this healthy addition is that this pouch definitely enhances your appearance. If your underwear has no pouch, is made of cotton and fits loosely with few seams, you are going to have horrible men's underwear form.
