Vocal Vibrato

Blues and jazz singers are particularly well known for singing vocal vibrato. It's that pleasing, sort of shaky sound that makes the music so unique. The reality is not everybody has it in them. There are so many factors that affect whether or not somebody can do this. However, you'll be approached by many students asking to learn this. So, let them know in advance that they might have to work harder than other singers at nailing this technique. Don't let them lose patience. Anybody is capable of it with enough practice.

Singing high notes

This can be very difficult. Someone might have a beautiful and highly pleasant voice when singing reachable keys, but singing high notes is something else. Do some research on techniques for tackling stage fright before giving any lessons because even if it's not your main focus, you will have students asking you about it. Something you probably already know about is breathing exercises for singing. Along with relaxing one's vocal chords, these can really help relax the actual singer.

Taking care of one's voice

You'll also have students who have undergone injuries, illnesses or just incidents that have harmed their voice. They're going to want tips on maintaining their voice health and keeping their vocal chords strong throughout their lives. So, you'll also want to research this element of singing before teaching.
