2.Using typical designs Another typical mistake that you might want to avoid is the use of typical designs. During the holidays many designers just go for the usual holiday design mode, with red and green color themes, silver bells and gold ribbons. This may be usually good, but it is also fairly common nowadays. To make a great color flyer you do not want to be common. You want to be unique and original. So never try to always reinvent the holidays each year. Try out new color themes, even try to recreate a traditional symbol. 3.Not using images Now, for many amateurs, color flyers do not really need images. Or if they do, they just need a little symbol to make them decent. This might be true for most market flyers throughout the year. In the holiday market season however, this wont do. 4.Printing with cheap materials Lastly, never ever print color flyers with cheap materials during the holiday season. People judge a lot by the make and finish of most things during the holidays.
