The 5 Tips To Take Great Photos With Your Mobile Phone
We are now living in a time where almost all functions of things can be merged in one product
. That is true with today's mobile phones. We don't need a separate camera, mp3 player, video player or internet gadgets or tools because our cellphones are capable to do all that. On the other hand, with all the merging of these functions, not all the best things go together, likewise with out phone's cameras, which we tend to capture more images than that of our cameras. Some cellphone cameras are low-end while others have better and higher resolution but whatever your phone camera may be, there are some things that you can do to improve the way it captures photos.
The downside of camera phone photos are that some pictures tend to be in poor quality. This is especially true for camera phones with low end cameras.
However you can do something about it. Mobile phone camera owners can benefit from these tips to maximise the use of their camera phones and get better shots:
1. Make sure that the lighting is sufficient when you take photos with a camera phone.
You will have a better outcome when the lighting is good. When shooting outside though, stay away from glares. When shooting inside, it would help to turn on the lights. When your camera phone has a built in flash then that's also a good thing. Making use of flash can have a better effect on your photo since a flash can instantly brighten a shot and make it more clear.
2. When taking a photo of your subject/s it's best that you get close rather than use zoom.
Camera phone images tend to be smaller especially for those with low resolution. Make sure that you are in the right distance since getting too close or far on your model can cause the image to be distorted and get a bad focus.
3. Tell your subjects to stay still and as the one taking the picture, make sure that your hand is steady.
This will help avoid blurs in the image and will give you a clearer picture of your subject. This is helpful when you are taking photos in low light situations. To compensate for the lack of light, camera phones will select a longer shutter speed so that more light will get in. On the other hand, bear in mind that some camera phones have what we call a "shutter lag". Shutter lag happens when after you press the shutter, the camera will click or respond later. So bear in mind that you have to keep a steady hand when doing so.
4. Keep your lenses clean.
When there is something wrong with the images you take, people often blame it on the camera when in fact it's just a dirty lens. Check and wipe your lens clean before taking pictures to remove dirt accumulated in it. Sometimes dust can affect the quality of your photos. When cleaning your lens, make sure that you use soft cloth rather than rough ones.
5. Take different shots and don't limit yourself, take tons of sample shots if needed.
Tweak and experiment with the settings if needed. Learn to adjust the balance and or lighting and other settings on your mobile. Experiment with your shots from the lighting to the different angles, adjust the colors and the contrast as well. Experiment with different modes and remember the setting of those that you like to keep.
Cellphones might as well be our handy cameras. In order to benefit from it, you must also learn how to make good shots with your phone. It's how you handle your phone and how you make the right settings and or learn the right skill to create a good shot. Now, take time to tweak and learn more about your phone and start snapping away.
