The Acne Myths

There are so many old wives tales (myths) about Acne and its causes and best acne treatment moethods that one does not know which way to turn.


To dispel some of these myths a few of the worst offender are listed.

Dirt they say causes Acne, well if you did not wash for a year yes you would more than likely have more than Acne. The body will clean pores in its natural way, by perspiring and via the blood. If the blood is dirty the body can't function at its best. The internal has in fact got to be cleaner than the external. By eating the correct foods and drinking lots of water the body will look after its self.

Washing every 5 minuets is not going to prevent an outbreak of Acne. In fact more often could indeed cause an outbreak. Less is more when it comes to makeup. If you try and cover your face in thick makeup to hide the Acne you are more likely to cause more problems. By all means use make up but be sensible about the quantity you apply and where possible check the labels and pick cosmetics that are marked Non Comedogonie or Non Acnegenie, these products are designed for people with skin problems.

Normal hygiene will go a long way to help you maintain your natural appearance, use good quality products and don't go over board by using Five different products in two days. Acne might appear over night but it will not disappear over night.
