2. Unlike traditional braces, if a person grates or clinches their teeth in the daytime or while dormant, the braces can get beaten-up. However, if something like this does happen, a new pair can easily and quickly be re-ordered so it's not THAT big of a deal.

3. Since these braces are made out of polyurethane, it has been noted that in very rare instances there may be an allergic reaction to the toxic sensitivity of the chemicals in the braces. As with ANY medical surgery or process it's always a good idea to tell your Dentist or Orthodontist if you are allergic to anything.

Advantages:

1. One of the biggest reasons these have become so popular, especially with teens and adults, is that they are invisible. No more "metal mouth" jokes. You can just barely tell if someone is wearing these.

Remember, it's essential though that you remember to place these back in your mouth after you are done eating, drinking or brushing your teeth.

With Invisalign braces you can have your teeth feeling and looking brand new in around 12-18 months. This is a significant amount of time over the conventional braces which can take three or more years! Also, with conventional braces sometimes additional procedures are needed such as surgery or temporary implants to speed up the process. With Invisalign none of this is needed.
