The Advantages Of Cd Printing Over Hard Copy
When many people think of Cd printing they tend to think in terms of copying someone elses cd
, which of course, is illegal. But there are many other occasions where you might want to get a CD of your own printed. For instance, businesses often prefer to give employees a cd as a training tool rather than a brochure that may or may not be read.
People often prefer to listen to such material as there are more opportunities to listen than there are to sit down and read. A CD can be played and listened to while you are driving or travelling to and from work or shopping, or going to pick up the children. It can be listened to while you are cooking, ironing or having lunch. This makes it far more likely that the material it contains will actually be heard and absorbed by those who need it.
If the material was simply offered in printed form it very likely would not be read as the recipient could not find the time in their busy schedule to devote to it. So getting cds printed is a really good idea and the costs are often no higher than printing out training material in hard copy.
However it is a good idea to have the Cd done by professionals who are trained to do so. Not everyone can speak well so that their voice is correctly modulated for a good listening experience. People often stop and start, dont finish sentences, cough or hesitate when speaking. That is fine when you are face to face with a person, but sounds rather dreadful on a cd and makes listening difficult.
When using this method you will have to have many more than one CD and this is where
cd duplication comes in. This is done by burning the contents of the master cd to other blank cds so that you get many copies. It is usually done where the need is for less than 500 copies. The quality is just as good as replication, where a glass master is made and used to print off more copies. This is only needed when more than 500 copies are required.
And of course this also holds good for dvds as well. You can get
Dvd duplication by burning or by glass replication of the master DVD. Both processes give equal quality; it is only the costs and turn-around time that differ, with the glass replication taking slightly longer, but being cost-effective for larger numbers.
