The Arrest Of Assange Wikileaks
Julian Assange the founder of Wikileaks is arrested in Bristish and jail when comes
to terms with the "cuts" of economic and technological resources prepared by a series of private parties under the political pressure of international diplomacy.
The governments of various countries in the world - head to the ones that have, until now, wearing the model of democratic nations and the lead of freedom of information - express satisfaction before these reports claim that even as a success of their business diplomatic channels.
The Italian foreign minister, Franco Frattini, even urged to declare that the arrest of Assange mean that the operation of "international siege" has worked. We are a paradox.
In reality there is very little to celebrate there, however, much to be worried. What is going on stage is, in fact, the epilogue of the tragedy of freedom of information.
International diplomacy is a principle stating that sweeps away the freedom of expression and the right to a fair trial, enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Citizen, and hundreds of constitutions around the world.
The governments of dozens of countries, including ours, are, in fact, arguing that the right to the secret of the few (but not enshrined in the Constitution) should prevail over the right to know the most and that would be the first to defend a legitimate political process against a single national outside of any rule of law and without even bothering to contest the allegations that the accused are moved.
E 'symptomatic in this regard, the attitude of the Minister Franco Frattini, who before the arrest of Assange in England for an alleged rape consumatosi in Sweden, a need to express satisfaction, to describe what happened as a "lucky" and to claim even the activity of "encirclement" of international diplomacy, the result.
What would be your luck? The fact that an Australian citizen was arrested in England for the elements of an offense of rape, contestategli in Sweden and all still to be determined, because of political pressure that international diplomacy has done for this to happen?
I personally have a hard time to share this conclusion.
Let us, however, to go beyond and to reflect on what is really going on.
