The internet has thousands of blogs. Bloggers are blogging about everything from scrapbooking to traveling to bug collecting. Most bloggers don't just blog for their own good, they would like to share their ideas, thoughts and photographs with the world. In order to make your blog stand out from the rest, you need to get creative.

Here are some tips for creating nifty blogs:

What's in a name?

The name you choose for your blog is the most important part!! A good name is short, interesting and describes what you do. If you are creating a blog on butterfly collecting, then your name should be able to tell web users this. You may wish to call your blog "Butterfly-Catcha" or something else that is interesting. Along with your name you should have a good logo. There are so many cool fonts to try. You can also buy or download a logo-making program for cheap, so put in color and pizzazz and make something that really stands out.

Write interesting stuff.

Don't just spurt out words; try to make your blog interesting. Stay ahead of your game, be creative. This means being informed on your subject of choice. Give your readers short, interesting pieces of information that you, yourself find interesting. Information that doesn't take forever to read, which gets us to the next point:

Small chunks please

Internet users are not like your typical person that will sit down and read a a large amount of writing in book or magazine. Internet users don't really read at all. The skim headings and if they see anything interesting they may stop to read a sentence or two before moving on. It help to break up your blog into small paragraphs and use short interesting headings that draw attention that tell you what a paragraph is about.

Make it Visual

Colors and photographs go a long way to making your blog more users friendly. People like to see things. (Especially those lazy web users who don't like to read) Good photographs work well and it's also nice to have a few cartoons or funny pictures that are related to your subject of choice. BUT please remember to keep your images small and web friendly. No one is going to read your blog if it takes too long to open it.

Add some hype

People return to blog sites, if there is something worth returning to. Your aim as a blogger, should be to create a blog that people talk about. That way people will direct their friends to your blog, and you will get a much bigger following

Make your blog interactive

People that read blogs like to part of the conversation. You a blog template, where your readers can leave comments, or at the very least, they should be able to send you an email. You can also put polls on your site, where your readers can vote on how they feel about controversial subjects.
