The art of taking action. Sounds simple, right? How many times in a day do you hear yourself or someone saying "I'll do it tomorrow" or "I'll do it later"?
Why? What are you doing right now?
Procrastination is a leading killer in creating and sustaining your own business in today's world. I know this, I was that person.
Let me quickly qualify myself as that procrastinator. I started an online business in January of 2009. I half-assed my way along for over a year. I had the tools, education, support, everything I needed to create a successful online business. I didn't utilize any of them.
So here I was, being told that if I just followed these simple steps that soon I would see the rewards of being in business for myself. I had the ability to create an online business to spring me from the rat race of Corporate America. I wasn't content with where I was before, yet I was given this opportunity to change my life forever and I was pissing it away, not taking action. Finally I could take no more. This had to change and it did.
We need to take action each and every day. Take your biggest challenge of your day and tackle it first and the rest will fall into place. Soon you will see that you have more time to accomplish much more in your day than just your initial daily goals. This will spill over into your monthly and yearly goals.
Remember to have personal and business goals. Put effort into both as your business will be directly affected by who you are as a person. Become a leader who shows by example.
So I challenge you today. Take action. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Write down some daily goals for yourself and don't go to bed until they are done. Push yourself and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
Success begins with one single action followed by another. Your success will grow if you know how to grow it. Take the time and learn how to nurture and grow your business right.
