The art of war is a book title by Sun Tzu, a 6th century BC writer
. He was addressing Eastern military strategies which to this day are still used. The book is precise in detail and allows for principals to be drawn that supposedly helps win the war. History records that military men like Takeda Shingen used these strategies and won.
Businesses use these strategies against competitors. The book, seems to be full of strategies on how to capitalise on your strengths and cover your weaknesses. The art of war means that strategy needs to be developed before you get to the battleground. You don't show up naked to the battle. Your mind is prepared. Your weapons are loadedand you are ready to take the marching orders.
Life is full of arts of war. Some battles require from past experiences that we stand still and do nothing. Some require that we stand our ground and do something about it. Strategy is developed from having fought a few battles and lost. Then having to fight a few more battles and won. Tactic is deciphered. I don't believe that life is all about winning the wars we need to fight but it is about becoming the best we can be. If we can avoid a war, good. If we have to fight one, well its going to be an adventure for sure. At the end of the day, we get to have lived our lives.
Dont look at the obstacle and withdraw from the challenge. It's a war of witsand if you prepare well, you are going to success.
