With that being said, you might wonder why a person would buy carpet tile flooring. Well, unlike rolled carpet, tiled carpet does not have to be installed by a professional. A person of any skill level can install it relatively quickly. In addition, their unique design allows for more diversity. Whether a room has simple or complex architecture, you will still be able to install the tiles in a matter of minutes.

Durability is another reason why carpet tiles are a better choice. Traditional carpet can get moldy if the room gets too humid. This does not happen as often with carpet tiles, provided that the temperature stays between 60 and 90 degrees. If there is greater fluctuation, it is possible that water could still seep through.

If this happens, and the carpet gets moldy, the solution for fixing it is very simple. All you have to do is replace the offending tile with a new one. Nothing else needs to be done for the others. Compare this to rolled carpet. If one section gets moldy, the whole floor would need to be replaced!

In conclusion, carpet tile remains an interesting alternative for those who want to install their own new flooring. Best of all, their style is versatile enough to withstand any environment. They can be placed in office buildings, family rooms and even your child's bedroom. True, rolled carpet can do the same thing, but at a greater cost. With carpet tile, cost is limited due to its DIY nature.
