In conclusion, as a society we need more young people to study maths and science
so that we develop the many engineers we need in all areas of industry. The world will be a very poor place without engineers, imagine a world without roads or bridges; without cars or aeroplanes; without ships or skyscrapers. Almost every piece of modern and not so modern technology relies on engineering skills to not only create the products to start with, but also to develop and improve them further.
