When learning to play an instrument, this is especially important because if you do not know the basics, you cannot fully develop your skill. When it comes to learning to play the guitar, some of the basics you should learn first include the proper care of your instrument and how to play individual notes. Like any instrument, the guitar is fragile and if you do not care for it properly it will not work and you will not be able to play it.
