The addition of excess fats and oils in the soap mixture makes these soaps safe for the skin.

Lye is a major component in soap making. This is a basic material which can also be harmful for the skin. It is best to wear safety gear to prevent any contact with the sodium hydroxide. Choose a well-ventilated area when making soap since fumes can be harmful when inhaled.
