The Best Bar And Nightclub Rock Songs

Rock, alternative and indie is possibly one of the most difficult genres to dance to

. While its easy to mosh along to the guitars and drums, actually dancing continuously can become a problem. These genres mostly are seen in bars, or things like Teenage Kicks.

With that being said, there are some songs that can be great for getting you in the mood to dance. These songs can play in bars and nightclubs and lift you with a burst of energy, and make you want to dance for days.

Rock/Alternative/Indie

1.AC/DC You Shook Me All Night Long

If you dont know this song, I have two words for you: YouTube, now. While this song was made in 1980, the fabulous rhythm and energy gives it a quality that many rock songs today still cant compete with. Whether the song is a dance anthem or not is debatable, but theres one thing that is undisputed: it makes you want to get up and move.

2.Bon Jovi Livin on a Prayer

Rock music may not cater to everyones taste, but this 1986 hit by Bon Jovi does. Who doesnt love Tommy and Gina, after all? Everyone knows the words, therefore everyone wants to hop on the dance floor to rock out to this classic.

3.The Killers Mr Brightside

The Killers are great for creating sad songs that actually put the bar and nightclub enthusiasts in an energetic mood. This song has a great melody, and the way it builds up gives an awesome song to be played at bars and nightclubs. It stands well alone, or remixed, and is perfect for a mellow, yet.

4.OneRepublic All The Right Moves.

OneRepublic certainly made the transition from an alternative song to a nightclub song with this 2009 hit. While still retaining their individual style, the band managed to do the impossible: fuse alternative rock with the realm of nightclubs. This song may be recent, but its unique fusion of dance with rock means that it will be around far longer than a few Saturdays.

5.Blink 182 All The Small Things

Oh, Blink 182the punk rock band that took us all through the 90s. This song serves as a reminder for my teenage years, as it will with many other Gen Y-ers. However, All The Small Things transcends time and creates an energetic song with a punky vibe that will forever get people off their backsides and onto the dance floor.
