There is nothing more exciting than going to see the world

. It is good to get away from regular life and open your horizons to new cultures and new experiences. You can grow as a person as a result of travelling. The type of travel you do is going to be influenced by the types of things you like, your age and your family life.

If you like things fancy you will probably want to stick to first-world countries such as Western Europe. There is so much to do here. For instance just take Italy as an example. You can check out the Coliseum in Rome, the gondolas in Venice or the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Pisa. In France you have the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Palace of Versailles. In England you have Big Ben, the Tower of London and Stonehenge.

If big and brash is you thing then maybe New York is the place for you. Check out Times Square, Broadway and the Statue of Liberty. There is also Wall Street, Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden. Over on the West Coast, Los Angeles is a very popular destination for tourists especially for those who have children.

Disneyland is the massive attraction and you can have a great time here. There are also a number of other amusement parks such as Universal Studios and Knott's Berry Farm. California is rich source of things to do for visitors. You have San Francisco which has the cable cars and Alcatraz. Then there is San Diego where you can go to Sea World and the world famous San Diego Zoo.

If you like things a bit more primitive and raw then you would love to go to South America. South America is a place which is full of color, flavor and excitement. There is nothing like Rio during Carnival time or Argentina during a soccer match. Check out such fantastic places such as Machu Picchu in Peru. You can take tours to take you there and show you around the incredible Inca site.

If you don't mind taking long flights then you need to check out Australia. It has such incredible natural beauty. There is the Great Barrier Reef and the Kakadu National Park which both offer you the most amazing floral and fauna. This is something you can do by yourself or you can do via a tour group. Sydney offers the stunning world famous Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge. If you like sport than you will like Melbourne which is considered to be one of the sporting capitals of the world.

Over in Asia the Great Wall of China is a must for any traveler. They say it's the only thing on Earth which you can see on the moon. How much of it can you walk? Back in Beijing you have the Forbidden City which is an amazing structure. Over in India you have the Taj Mahal and if you don't want to do anything other than lay on the beach you can go to Thailand.
