So if you were in the health and fitness niche you'd probably focus a lot on diet and fitness products. Building a targeted following in a specific niche is really the best way to market online.
This way you can start a relationship with your targeted followers by sending them out valuable information in a newsletter. So when you recommend a product people are more likely to buy it because they trust you as you've earned their trust by this relationship building. This is how to make real money online. If you randomly collected email addresses from many different niches it is quite likely that when you send out a newsletter promoting a product; there would be a lot of people not at all interested in the product you are selling and so sales rates would be low.
