The Best Way To Upholster Your Chair

In case you are planning on changing the covers of your chair

, you can either phone an expert and spend lots of money for it, or do the task yourself and save your cash. Read this post for the simple steps.

First thing you must do is to measure the back of your couch and the seat. Use a tape measure to acquire the correct measurements. Once you have your measurements of the two parts of the couch, transfer these unto a sheet of plyboard. Then, get a power saw and cut out the measurements from the plywood. You should be able to acquire two pieces, wherein one is for the rear of the chair, and the other is for the seat.

The next step is to drill holes on the chair close to all the corners of the two cut out pieces of plyboard. These openings would be where the wood will be attached to the chair. With similar measurements you built on the plyboard, mark these on the foam, as well. Once done, cut out the measurements from the foam using a kitchen electric knife. You should be able to obtain two cut-out pieces of the foam, also.

Take the fabric sides towards each of the 4 corners of the plywood and staple these properly. Take the parts of the fabric in between the four corners, also, and also staple these to the plywood. By getting the fabric on all 4 corners of the plywood, it will be quicker to pull all the other edges of the fabric and then stapled on the wood. Continue pulling all loose edges of the fabric and make sure to staple them very close to each other on the wood.

Next, move the sides of the fabric towards the center of each four corners of the plyboard and staple the cloth in place. Draw all the other loose edges of the fabric and staple them to the plywood, too. Then, ensure that you are placing every staple very close to each other. Put the chair upside down and use the power drill and wood screws to attach the seat to the chair. Then, put your chair upright and work on the back of the seat. Consider repainting your couch prior to connecting the padded couch and back of chair to the seat.
