. Some people are searching just to be on the edge of technology. Others are searching because the service has become more aggravating than it is worth to them. Perhaps you are one of those people who are fed up with their service for one reason or another.

Perhaps you are searching out your own alternatives. Perhaps you are not ready to leave the company, but they are certainly aggravating you enough to consider it. The high cost of cable is the first reason people go in search of an alternative. By the time that you pay rental on equipment, install fees, tax, fees for extra channels, programming, and then the primary cost of cable you are in over your head in costs. It is not unheard of for people's cable bill to be more than one hundred dollars a month. That is rediculously expensive for what averages to about two hours of tv per day. That is for only about sixty hours a month. That means that you are paying almost two dollars per hour of television you watch. Even though this is the largest issue with cable companies, it is not the only one.

Reason 2

With all the high costs of cable you would imagine that would include great customer service. Most of the time this is not the case. How many times have you called in to get some help and had a grumpy representative on the line that was unhelpful? If not always, this is often the case. I know that for the price of cable customer support should be at least helpful. If I call in because my cable is acting up, I do not want to hear about how a technician can be there next week on Tuesday or Wednesday between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm. Do these people really think I have nothing better to do than hang around the house all day? This is truly unacceptable. When I need to downgrade my service to a cheaper package, I do not want to be sold on upgrading to a more expensive package deal. These are the kinds of things that people are tired of. These issues are the same that get people to cut the cord with their cable provider.

Reason 3

Only the best service quality would be acceptable for the high costs you are paying. You would never expect or accept fuzzy reception, faulty equipment should be nonexistent, and broadcast freezes should never happen. It is unfortunate that all those issues are a reality. For the expense of cable, service problems are exceedingly high. For most, this is the final straw. If not for the incredibly high price, the cable problems would not be such an issue. If customer support was not such a hassle, their might be a bit of damage control. For the high costs, the aggitations to get issues fixed are just too much to bear.

Reason 4

The fourth reason is because an affordable alternative to cable does exist and people want to find it. Online is where they will find it. The online program is often cheaper than a cable bill for a single month. The service is tv on pc, and people everywhere can not wait to get their hands on it. It includes thousands of channels and you can even watch live sports.
