New York City is the financial, entertainment and fashion capital of the world

. It has the two largest stock exchanges anywhere. It is home to the rich and famous, immigrants, the movers and shakers of the financial world and simple everyday people who all have one thing in common they love New York! Whether you have a short term apt in NYC or are a permanent resident, The Big Apple has some of the most loyal citizens on planet earth.

New York City is comprised of five boroughs; Brooklyn, The Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island with over eight million people collectively. New York boasts the highest population in the country and the most densely populated. The New York City Metropolitan Area comprises 6,720 square miles and is home to 18.9 million people. Another interesting fact is that New York City is the highest Goggled location in the world, with over 4.6 results as of September 2011. Everyone is interested in the amazingly diverse city that plays host to 50 million annual visitors.

While Utah may brag that it is the crossroads of the west, Times Square has been iconified as "The Crossroads of the World". A staggering statistic states that there are over 800 languages spoken in this unique city. Did you know that there were 800 languages the world over? A little research shows that at least a portion of the bible has been translated into 2.197 languages and that the Ethnologic organization details 6,809 distinct languages. It is a big world that seems to congregate in this city.

While New York may be all things to most people, it is undisputedly one of the most expensive cities. From permanent residents to short-term apartment leases in NYC, everyone agrees it is pricey. It actually ranks in the top 40 most expensive cities in the world and number one in the States.

A city as populated and diverse with commerce, fashion, business, and entertainment, it certainly is a place to live or visit.
