The real secret is...persistence.
I know that is a bit of a simple answer, but please let me explain.
When you first go online to make your fortune you are full of hope and excited by your first great idea, product or guru system taking off and making you rich or at least a second income.
Then after your first attempt fails, you shrug it off and try again thinking that so many people out there, even 15-20 year old's are making $50,000-$100,000 a year online, so it can't be that difficult, l just hit a rough spot?
Then you try again with another guru offer that promises the earth, by doing a few simple actions. Then yet again, disappointment? It seems to work for some of their members, but not for you? After several months of effort you just assume that those few members got lucky or knew something, (some system) that you weren't aware of?
So...to recap.
You have failed two times so far and even though you are not as enthusiastic or motivated as you were when you first started, you decide to keep going. Another offer another dud? By now you start thinking that something must be wrong with you; how can l fail when a 15 year old is raking in $100,000 a year?
This is usually the point where most people give up, especially those that were not determined enough, which is a shame because internet marketing is a real business. Meaning that if you realize that it will take time to figure out why you keep failing, what really works online and how exactly do those 15 year olds do it? You would be much closer to success than most.
Also the paralysis of failure starts to happen. What's that l hear you say? The paralysis of failure is when you have tried so many times and failed so many times that you cannot comprehend success. This process has been proven many times over with experiments with animals. When they tried to achieve an outcome over and over and eventually gave up, even when the physical barrier was removed they still couldn't achieve the goal they initially wanted.
Because their minds have now become the barrier.
Which means that when a human being tries something and especially several things in the same field without success even when they find something genuine they cannot comprehend that it is real, and move on.
That was almost true for me with a website that l worked on for more than 2 years without any worthwhile results, but instead of selling it, l kept it and worked on it now and again. Even though it seemed impossible that it would ever get any decent traffic. Now, almost 3 years later even though l haven't worked on the site in months it is starting to show worthwhile growth and l should be able to monetize it with AdSense, (Google advertising) in the near future.
It is the marketers online that refuse to give up regardless of...
what their parents, friends and spouse says, (after all, they are probably not successful internet marketers)
how many failures you have had, (as long as you analyze your failures) and change fields when necessary
how much money you have lost
how much in dept you are, unless it is crippling, (then you will need to sort that out first)
That ultimately get there.
The thing about this learning process is emotionally and intellectually you become substantially stronger and wiser, so when success does come you are ready for it.
This is shown by Lotto winners, a good percentage blow their millions and end up worse off because they weren't prepared for it. Or they didn't understand the value of money, so that million dollars may seem infinite to them, but it isn't.
But... hand a million to most online marketers, etc that have been through the school of hard knocks, (and understands the value of money) they will use it wisely to benefit themselves and society in general.
So...don't get respondent when you have another failure, it's just like when you were learning to walk, it may take several attempts but success is inevitable.
If you give up you stop struggling in the short term, but tend to suffer in the long term. And someone who refuses to give up in the short term prospers in the long term. It is best to go for it than to have regrets later on in life!
