In order to play a great sport like billiard, players must have all the essential things needed. One of the essential things in billiard are the billiard balls.

Billiard balls vary in size, weight, numbers of balls to be used in a game and colors depending of what type of cue sport are going to be played. Balls' weight maybe from 5.5 to 6 oz with a diameter of 2.25 inches.. Before, balls were made of wood, later by ivory and now made by a strong plastic resistant from breaking. Billiard balls are numbered and colored differently: 1-yellow, 2-blue, 3-red, 4-purple, 5-orange, 6-green, 7-brown, 8-black, 9-yellow and white, 10-blue and white, 11-red and white, 12-purple and white, 13-orange and white, 14-green and white, 15-brown and white plus the cue ball which is colored white. Balls from 1-7 is sometimes called the solids and ball 9-15 are striped. The 8 ball is not considered to be solid.

In order to have the best quality of the game, make sure to have your balls at its best standard. Storage box or basket is necessary in order to organized and keep the balls in its good condition for a long period of time. Cleaning materials are also important. Balls and other billiard supplies need to be cleaned after each use. Keeping everything in order will give a comfortable feeling for users and players. It will also give satisfaction and players will have a great time in playing billiard.
