HTC have taken a step away from their top specification roots with the new Wildfire Handset

, a more budget priced handset that still host enough features to please the majority of mobile phone users everywhere.

The HTC performs superbly in its most basic form, as a mobile handset. This is something often overlooked with many modern phone packing in more features than ever before. Part of this can be attributed to the relatively low spec of the screen and processor, which consequently do not place to much drain on the battery. Looking at the design of the phone, and the most striking element of this handset is how square the overall design actually is. The smaller screen helps this shape be achieved, and in fairness the result is a phone that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, perhaps more so than the larger, longer handsets. The shape and neat styling are very eye catching, and it is easy to see this handset proving a massive hit with the style concious teen market.

Another element of the HTC Wildfire that is really going to sell this phone to the younger audience is the excellent Sense UI. This user interface offers a host of innovative features that make the everyday use of this model both simple and fun. With the current trend for both Twitter and Facebook ever increasing, the Friendstream function groups together information from your own accounts and presents them all together in one feature. This gives the user a simple overview of not only all the information they require, but also allows for simultaneous posts to multiple sites at the same time. Mutimedia wise the camera facility is perhaps the most impressive feature. Images appear full of clarity thanks to the 5 mega pixel resolution. An advanced smile detection system enables you to capture portraits at the perfect moment, ensuring a perfect photograph everytime.

HTC may well conquer another area of the ever increasing mobile phone market with this excellent new model. An excellent UI, modern look and general superb performance make this a very capable handset.
